1.11 The Bouncing Badge
The story of the Bouncing Badge has a simple story that is made more interesting with the addition of Hedgely the hedgehog. The bouncing sequences are a lot of fun, especially Duggee’s demonstration and the rainbow at the end.
The Bouncing badge is the first badge where we get to meet the Squirrels’ parents outside of dropoff and pickup. I like it when we get to see a bit more of the Squirrels homelife. It gives the characters a bit more colour. It’s also the first appearance for Hedgely who is a personal favourite supporting character.

Opening Squirrel

Start
All of the Squirrels are playing with the building blocks.
Set-Up
Duggee is pumping up something as a surprise for Tag because it is his birthday. When it takes Duggee a long time to pump up the surprise which is a bouncy castle. Duggee has his Bouncing Badge.
Story
Duggee shows the Squirrels some bounces, the bird, the starfish, the ball, the jellyfish and the sleeper. The Squirrels spot Hedgley the Hedgehog heading towards the bouncy castle, but Duggee quickly turns him around.
It is the Squirrels’ turn to bounce but a rain cloud threatens to ruin their fun. The Squirrels ask the cloud to move but it doesn’t respond. They need to poke it with Hedgley the Hedgehog. The Squirrels bounce out of time with Duggee and Hedgley until they poke the cloud. It drops its rain and a rainbow appears above the castle. They do some rainbow bouncing.

Close and Credits
Tag’s mum has bought a slice of birthday cake for everyone. Hedgley pops the bouncy castle as everyone leaves.
