Episode Summary

The Squirrels are all playing with the building blocks.


The doorbell goes and it’s the delivery chipmunk with a delivery for Duggee. Duggee has some amazing new envelopes but the Squirrels are more interested in the cardboard box that they came in. They want to know what Duggee plans to do with the box. He is going to put it in the cupboard with the rest of his boxes. Duggee really likes boxes, he has his cardboard box badge.

The Squirrels fold, build, paint and stack. They’ve made a very impressive castle. Next, they make knight’s costumes:

  • Sir Happy the Tall.
  • Sir Norrie the Daring – Norrie jumps from a box.
  • Sir Betty the Terrifying – Betty pulls a funny face.
  • Sir Tag the Tough – Tag waves a friendly hello.
  • Sir Roly the Square.

The Squirrels are ready to play in their castle but there is a problem. The naughty mice have moved in a raised their own cheese flag. The mice (who are all wearing armour) refuse to leave. The Squirrels lay siege to the castle and Norrie has a plan. They will need boxes and yellow paint.

The mice are laughing about the time Eid chased one of them up a tree and got stuck when a giant wedge of cheese rolls up to the castle gates. They start munching on it immediately, only to discover that it is cardboard. The Squirrels spring out of the Trojan cheese and retake their castle.

The action switches to a blueprint as Duggee describes what you can do with boxes.

Supporting Cast

  • The mice.


The Squirrels all wear cardboard suits of armour to play.

  • Happy has a cardboard helmet, cape and shield with a duck painted on it.
  • Betty has a Viking-style helmet with horns.
  • Tag has a full suit of cardboard armour and helmet. He is carrying the Squirrels’ flag.
  • Norrie also has a full suit of cardboard armour and ear protectors. She is carrying a trumpet.
  • Roly is completely covered in a square cardboard box.
