1.21 The Hiccup Badge

If only curing hiccups was as easy as Duggee makes it look in The Hiccup Badge. I also didn’t know that hiccups were contagious but I guess all this can be filled under Hey Duggee lore.

My favourite thing about this episode is Duggee’s battle with flower arranging. Duggee has many hobbies which he shares with the Squirrels whether they are interested or not. It is pleasing that this particular hobby is just for Duggee.

Suddenly all of the Squirrels have hiccups. They run off to see if Duggee can help, on the way passing the cows, sheep and birds who all start hiccupping. When they reach Duggee he catches them too. Duggee knows how to cure the hiccups, a cool glass of water. He drinks one and then hands our water to the Squirrels. Next, they carry water out to all the other animals. Betty hands out water from a jug to all the birds. Roly gives the sheep some water from a fishbowl. Tag pours water from a bucket into the cows’ water trough and Happy jumps out. Norrie hands Worm a tiny glass of water and he feels better. Worm zooms off and collects lots of flowers for Duggee’s vase.
