The Leaf Badge

1.12 The Leaf Badge

The Leaf Badge finds Duggee and the Squirrels exploring outdoors. Nature is a common theme in Hey Duggee, which is a plus in my book. I love that the Squirrel Club often go on nature walks, encouraging children to get outside is such a valuable thing to do.

Favourite character Hedgely is back for is the second episode in a row, this time as the scary, not scary woodland monster.

Story

Duggee is missing one from his collection, the rainbow leaf. He shows the Squirrels a picture in his leaf book.

They head outside where the Squirrels spot lots of things that they think are the rainbow leaf. Roly finds a leaf that turns out to be a feather attached to a bird. Norrie finds a tiger leaf for their collection. Together they find a palm leaf that Duggee has to fold to fit in the nature book. Then a rainbow leaf blows past and they all chase it into the dark woods. They hear a monster, but Duggee points out there is no such thing. The Squirrels run from the monster, Duggee chases them and they all fall down, followed by the monster. The monster turns out to be Hedgley the Hedgehog covered in leaves. He still has one leaf attached to him, the rainbow leaf. Duggee’s collection is finally complete.
