All the animals have gathered for a send-off.
Set-Up
Phileas Frog and his friend Flea are setting off on around the world adventure in a hot air balloon. As they rise up into the air for the first time they wave goodbye to their friends and realise that they have forgotten Pippin, their beloved potted plant. Roly volunteers the Squirrels services in taking care of Pippin. Luckily Duggee has his Looking After Badge.
Story
It is summer and the delivery chipmunk arrives with a postcard from Flea. They are over the Snowcone Mountains. They hope that Pippin is getting more sun than they are. The Squirrels take Pippin out into the sunshine.
It is autumn and the leaves are falling off the trees and off Pippin. The delivery chipmunk arrives with another postcard from Flea. They are in the Hungry rainforest, a place full of hungry animals. It is normal for Pippin to lose her leaves.
It is winter and it is cold. The delivery chipmunk brings another postcard. Flea complains of the hard life of a traveller while drinking cocktails on a beach. Duggee wraps Pippin in a scarf to keep him cosy.
It is spring and Pippin has a strange growth. The delivery chipmunk has a postcard written from the Great Beige Desert. They long to see Pippin’s flower which is blooming now. The smell is awful.
The delivery chipmunk brings a final postcard from Phileas Frog and Flea with a few more places they have visited:
- Jigsaw Ridge – which now has a few pieces missing.
- Polka Dot Pine Trees.
- Wild Waterfall.
They are excited to return home to Pippin.
