2.37 The Traffic Badge
Only Hey Duggee could get away with a Portuguese gecko with no explanation. The Traffic Badge takes another dull-seeming subject and throws in pineapples and a tropical lake.

The Squirrels are all riding on Duggee’s back.
Set-Up
The Squirrel Club are off to the tropical lake. They all have a plan for what they are going to do when they get there:
- Happy is going to splash.
- Betty is going to go down the log slide.
- Norrie wants to try the rope swing.
- Tag is going to relax in the hot tub.
- Roly is going to go to the toilet.
They stop so that Roly can go to the toilet which he does all by himself. They continue on their journey past mountains, over bridges, through forests and to the back of a queue of traffic. There is a lot of road rage going on around them but the Squirrels remain chipper and immediately start to make friends with the animals around them. Happy admires a cow’s hat and Tag chats to some monkeys who are also going to the tropical lake. After a while, they begin to complain. Then Tag spots Duggee’s Traffic Badge.
Story
Duggee takes a shortcut around the traffic jam discussing traffic routes as they go. They find themselves at the front of the queue and discover the source of the problem. Gogo the gecko was on her way to the tropical lake to sell pineapples when her alligator hit a bump and shed its load blocking the road. Duggee and the Squirrels put on hard hats and high vis to clear the way and all the animals are finally on their way to the tropical lake.
Happy reclines in a rubber ring in the wave pool. Roly joins the queue for the water slide. Duggee enjoys some pineapple. Betty rides the log flume. Roly moves forward the queue. Norrie swings on a rope and lands in an inflatable. Roly runs forward in the queue. Tag relaxes in the hot tub. Roly reaches the front of the queue but has to run off for the toilet. Gogo gecko has sold all of her pineapples.
