Start
Duggee and the Squirrels are reading a comic.
Set-Up
They are reading Detective Puppy. Detective Puppy is waiting for a crime to solve. She gets a call, there has been a crime at the museum. Someone has been naughty and stolen the Great Necklace. She is good at looking for clues, she finds a blue handprint. Everyone has a different handprint so if she finds whose handprint it is she will find the culprit. Could it be one of Detective Puppy’s arch nemeses?
- Shelly the turtle.
- Mumbles the fly.
- Fluffy the cat burgler.
Detective Puppy knows who did it but they’ll have to wait until the next issue. Unfortunately, there was never another issue of Detective Puppy. Tastes changed and people didn’t want detective stories any more. They wanted:
- Action-packed (Now Comics – based on the first Action Comics with Superman on the cover.)
- Mystical (Bear – based on Conan the Barbarian.)
- Futuristic (Metalchew – based on Iron Man.)
- Shiny (Creatures of the Galaxy – based on Guardians of the Galaxy.)
The Squirrels really wants to know what happens in the story so they decide to make their own comic. Duggee can help, he has his Comic Badge.

Story
First, they need to work out who, how and why the necklace was taken. Roly types out the other Squirrels’ ideas and the present the story to Duggee. Then they make pencil drawings, ink them in and add colour.
To figure out whose paw print it was Detective Puppy waved at all of her nemeses but none of their hands matched the blue paw print. Detective Puppy noticed that the paw print was very sticky and she knew who stole the necklace. It was the museum manager. She hid the necklace in her lunchbox next to her blueberry sandwiches because she wanted to wear it to a party.
Detective Puppy chased her:
- Over rooftops
- In speedboats
- Up ladders
- Hanging of a helicopter
- Through water
- Across crocodiles
- In a police car
- In normal cars
- Over mountains
- Riding tigers
- Using unicycles
- Across mushrooms
- In space rockets
- Under the sea
- Across clouds
- Drinking tea
- On a train
Until they ran out of ink as Detective Puppy caught her because you can’t go to parties if you have been naughty.
Bridges
