With winter in full swing, it’s time to check out all the times it snowed in Hey Duggee. It doesn’t snow very often at the Hey Duggee clubhouse, but the world looks gorgeous when it does. The snow episodes are frequently set at night, giving the winter scenes a magical feel. In the daytime snow episodes, the Hey DUggee world looks super fun. The episodes explore everything from playing in the snow, watching snow while cosy indoors and snow as a backdrop for other activities.

The Christmas Badge
Duggee and the Squirrels share their Christmas traditions with Duggeee’s friend Clarance.
It is always snowing at Christmas in media, even if that’s not true to life. It wouldn’t feel right to have a Christmas episode without snow. The most recent snow episode is the Christmas Badge. The Christmas Badge takes place indoors. However, the episode’s comfy, cosy feel could not be achieved without the snow falling past the window at night. The parents also do pick up and drop off in special snow-safe vehicles.

The Looking After Badge
Duggee and the Squirrels look after Pippin the plant for a full year including during a snowy winter.
The Looking After Badge appears in all seasonal lists as the episode spans a whole year. While it is snowing at the clubhouse, Philleas Frog and Flea are sunning themselves on a beach on the other side of the world. Duggee and the Squirrels all wear their winter gear inside to stay warm. To prevent Pippin from getting cold, Duggee selflessly gives up his scarf to the plant.

The Snowman Badge
Duggee teaches the Squirrels how to make things out of snow.
The Snowman Badge is one of two episodes on this list that happens during the day. It features an escalating snow battle with the penguins. What stands out in this episode (other than the awesome snow creations) is that it starts with the Squirrels discovering the realities of playing in the snow. It’s cold, it’s wet and everyday games don’t always work. They find their way, and with some help from Duggee, they work out how to enjoy the snow.

The Space Badge
Duggee and the Squirrels learn about Space.
The purpose of snow in The Space Badge is to denote winter and explain why the Squirrels are at the clubhouse after dark. It isn’t actively snowing, and the night is clear and perfect for stargazing. The snow’s presence adds to the gorgeous scene at the end of the space flight where the rocketship skims across the surface of the planet and eventually lands in the clubhouse.

The Summer Holiday Badge
Duggee and the Squirrels help Mork pack for his summer holiday.
The snow in The Summer Holiday Badge probably comes as a surprise if you have read the episode title. This badge is an early indication (this is episode 4) that the writers really like to find new angles to approach subjects wherever possible. The premise here is that it is winter and too cold for Mork, so he is heading south for his summer holidays. Against the background of snow, Duggee and the Squirrels have to think about what they need for a summer holiday. The juxtaposition is effective.

The Tinsel Badge
Duggee and the Squirrels decorate and wrap presents for their friends.
The second Christmas-themed Badge on this list comes from the other end of Hey Duggee’s lifetime. Way back in 2014, The Tinsel Badge was the first ever episode to appear on CBeebies. Just like in the more recent Christmas Badge, the snow adds to the quiet atmosphere as the Squirrel club pad through the snow to share the spirit of Christmas with their friends.
